Work in progress: Book Covers!

I have created 6 possible ideas for a book cover project. The book I chose is "One Thousand One Arabian Nights" (the one Disney's "Aladdin" is based off of) and I need to narrow the choices down to three! The only one I absolutely don't like is the black and white, the others are a toss up. Decisions, decisions!
As a side note, these were all created in adobe illustrator (as usual) and are not finished yet as they still have some kinks to work out. Any critiques are welcome!

The finished artwork!

Finally it is done! Phew! Hope you like it :)

Personality/Hobby icons

These are some icons I developed for my silhouette project. Each one represents something important to my friend. She like white water rafting, global compassion trips, her dog named moose, traveling, and of course, cookies!

Color Palettes

I created some possible color palettes for my silhouette design and this is what I was drawn to. The person depicted in my silhouette loves the lime green color and teal was her second favorite. The assortment I chose was the very top one because I see her as a bright, fun, adventurous person!

More cat weirdness! In class we practiced using an illustrator technique where the colors become limited, and more like individual shapes. The assignment didn't include cats... but hey, I can't help myself sometimes.

In Progress! This is one of my ideas for a book cover assignment for Arabian Nights. It's the original name of the book that Aladdin was based off of. The original story has 2 genies, but other than that is pretty similar. Oh and Aladdin kills Jafar instead of sentencing him to eternal geniehood. Anywhos, I really enjoy using my tablet even though the graphic design portion needs some help haha :)

Hello again! After some modification I have changed my original swirly design! Using many many many clipping masks, I used the artwork to show a picture of a lion. The black circle behind it brought out the cool negative space and makes the lion more visible.
Made this just for fun! I used illustrator and my handy dandy tablet.

This piece is an interpretation of me. A much more elegant me.. hehe at least the poppy color scheme is right!
This was created for a class assignment in which I was given an emotion to draw out. This is an abstract representation of an emotion. Can you guess it? Spoiler alert--------> It's nauseated!

I did the assignment incorrectly, but here is my golfer in all his non-silhouette glory.
This is my silhouette of my friend :)
